Geocache Description:

Our geocache is hidden just one and a half miles from the trail head at the State Park parking lot. The trail is improved, and of light to moderate difficulty level. It climbs only about 500 feet elevation and then switchbacks back down to sea level, where it meets the beach at the troll bridge. Please enjoy the troll and finding our cache!

This is the first bridge crossing at Tonsina beach, a stunning beach in an Alaska State Park which faces 5,000 foot peaks on the opposite side of Resurrection Bay. Fly a kite, skip flat shale rocks, watch the wind blow, and listen to the sea. Check out the beach and also the rainforest trail that extends beyond the bridge. You can access this beach by foot on the trail or by kayak from Lowell Point! This is the place where Bear and Birdie first professed their love to each other. And this is our first cache together! Hope you enjoy the beauty and silence as much as we do.
