Geocache Description:

Canines seem to play a part in finding caches. This short series celebrates some canines who probably never cached. Should be an easy find. One of these five caches will have an unactivated Wigoweb geocoin for the first finder. That handsome fellow shown below is Wigo Too, successor to Wigo who inspired wigoweb.

Canine Caches

What do you remember about some almost famous dogs? This series may bring back memories for some and offer new information for others.

Dogs played many roles in human activity. This dog must have been very attentive to others in his house. When the lady of the house, the American millionairess, Ella Wendal, passed away in 1932, she left a record legacy of 75 million dollars in her will to her standard Poodle. Another report says the pup received only 30 million dollars. Can't always trust the Internet to get it right.

We will tell you some of the story here on the cache page and let you learn the rest by doing a web search or by finding the cache. New York heiress Ella Wendel died in 1931 and willed $30 million to her French poodle, ?????, who slept in his own brass bed beside Wendel. According to reports, that fortune has been passed down through the years to the descendants of the original dog — all named ????? — and even grown over time. The current ????? is said to be worth millions.
