The "Restin" caches are a series of microcaches that take you to beautiful and some forgotten cemeteries throughout the area. We introduce you to these cemeteries as a way of exploring our local history. While visiting we hope that you can reflect on their lives and contributions to the communities that they helped build into where we live today. Please respect their resting place and ensure that extreme care is taken during your visit. Please bring your own pen.
This is one of Markham's historic cemeteries and is located at the NW corner of Steeles and the York-Durham Line. This Mennonite cemetery is the resting place of many Reesor family members, and as well as direct descendents, one can find their wives and husbands.
Take a tour of the markers within the cemetery, and pay your respects to some of the first settlers of the area.
The cemetery is still in use, and at the time of this publication, the small church appeared to be undergoing renovations.
Have fun with history.
