Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. *PLEASE READ* Follow the trail head UP the bluff. If you’re by the houses you are NOT in the right area. There is a photo of where the trail leads off to the right area. It’s just a little ways past where the steps stop. Do not let titles mislead you the description below states why it’s named what it is. Devils Lake has so many amazing hidden beauties that not everyone sees. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I just found this area for the first time the day that I placed this cache and my first thought was of the wall from Game of Thrones so I had to throw in a nice reference here. The great thing about geocaching is that I can help people who aren't from the area enjoy these areas as well. This is an amazing area just off a dirt path leading off the main trail. Be very careful as their is a very steep drop off and as always please put the cache back exactly as found.
Note that a valid Wisconsin State Park sticker is required for admission to the park. The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to and approved by Devil's Lake State Park. Wisconsin DNR. All Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
