Geocache Description:

K&K Eternal Love

en Rome has one, Cologne has one, Moscow has one, Paris anyway: Love Bridges

Now lovers have chosen a spot in Istria to show their eternal love. With padlocks, in which the initials of the lovers are engraved, they want to set an example. After attaching the lock, the key is thrown into the water to make it untraceable.

This now globally widespread tradition originated in Italy (ital. Lucchetti dell’Amore) after graduate students of the Medical Academy San Giorgio (Florence) have attached their training padlocks on a street lamp at the Milvian Bridge in Rome. The tradition was then taken over by couples in love and made well known by the best-selling novel Tre metri sopra il cielo from 2005.
