Vashon Grade School used to be here!!! Traditional Cache

This is the spot of the old Vashon grade school.

The Vashon grade school sat on this spot from 1954-1996. The island children went to either Vashon or Burton grade school the dividing line was the center of the island which is Cemetery Rd. From 1954-1969 1st thru 8th grade used the school. 1969 7th and 8th grade moved to the new middle school. From 1969-1974 1st thru 6th used the school. In 1974-1994 the school welcomed all the island 4th thru 6th graders 1st thru 3rd graders went to Burton eventually after the new grade school was build the old had to come down. There was an outdoor gym that on weekends you could rollerskate inside.The cache is next to the main road.
