As a child, my parents bought a location at Lake Chelan. Every weekend or two, I'd get to leave home which entailed school, homework, rain and clouds and we would come to the Lake for the weekend. As far as I was concerned, The Lake was the best place on earth. Better than Hawaii (which I later moved to and returned from). Better than California, Disneyland or Hollywood. Better than anyplace that I knew of! It’s with this enthusiasm and at the young age of 11 that I would eagerly crane my head in the back seat as we drove, looking for that first hint of deep blue of Lake Chelan. Happy I always was 'At First Sight' of the lake.
This cache is located very close to the spot in which a passenger can first see that lake. I wanted to place it on the East side of the road but parking, a guardrail and a no Tresspassing sign made it a unwise choice. It's located a safe distance away from moving cars with great parking. It's not hard to find, is a large container with plenty of room to trade things in and I've included a pen and ziplock sealed log book. Please rehide it well.
Happy caching and enjoy your time at the lake.
