Geocache Description:

Flagitious (fla jish’ эs):  shamefully wicked, as persons, actions, times etc.

The original Flagitious series has been archived but I couldn’t put it completely to bed.  This is a smaller series, concentrated in just one area.  Some of my favourite hides have been repeated others are brand new.  Some of the caches are fairly easy to find but the container is intended to amuse; others are intended to challenge your acumen and will take some time to find.  There are no encrypted hints but there is a plethora of clues to be had if you read carefully.  Be sure to bring your own writing instrument and lots of bug spray!!!

Ents,  my favourite characters in J.R.R. Tolkien’s fantasy world Middle-earth, closely resemble trees. They are similar to the talking trees in folklore around the world. Their name is derived from the Anglo-Saxon word for giant.

The Ents appear in TheLord of the Rings as ancient shepherds of the forest and allies of the free peoples of Middle-earth during the War of the Ring.  The Ent who figures most prominently in the book is Treebeard, who (credibly) claims to be the oldest creature in Middle-earth. At the time The Lord of the Rings takes place, there are no young Ents (Entings) because the Entwives (female Ents) were lost. The Ents are akin to Huorns whom Treebeard describes as a transitional form of trees which become animated or, conversely, as Ents who grow more "treelike" over time.

As to the reference to Picasso, well, you will figure that out when you find the cache!
