However, after parking, we noticed something very odd. Someone had left a black and gold enameled vase lying on its side on a railroad tie. Out of curiousity, I unscrewed the lid, and found it was not empty, but rather contained a crumbly grey powdery substance.
We finally determined it was probably a small urn of ashes. (Rest in peace, whoever you were!)
We left it where it was, and enjoyed the small park, but before leaving, checked to see if there were any geocaches hidden nearby. Ther weren't, and we had my geokit in the car. We had a couple tricky ideas, but initially settled on a fairly easy P&G. Update: As cache went missing in the first month, upped the ante a bit. difficulty is up to 2, and terrain 3. Cache is a cammoed preform tube with plenty of Rite in the Rain paper. Please bring a writing utensil, sign small, and rehide as found. Bringing a partner, especially an agile one is highly recommended--as we don't wish any casualties finding it. Unless you request and are given permission, you must actually sign the log- spotting it from the ground doesn’t count and your log will be deleted. FTF Honors go to Qaz&Kids!
