Nebula, aka, planetary nebula is simply gas and dust and not a planet at all. In about 5 billion years, when the sun shucks off its outer layers, it will create a beautiful shell of diffuse gas known as a planetary nebula. As of 2012, about 10,000 of these short-lived, glowing objects were estimated to exist in the Milky Way, although only about 1,500 have been detected; the unseen rest hide behind interstellar dust. The original camo used for this Summer Solstice series of caches resembles the Milky Way.
On the evening of June 21st, 2015, the longest day of the year, Summer Solstice Nebula was born!
Happy Geocaching15!
