While visiting Crete we were taken to many beautiful places, learned lots of history and were treated to lots of caches. We wanted to leave this cache as a thank you to the Cretan caching community. The Cretan Runners have kindly agreed to perform any maintenance required.
A beautiful spot overlooking the historic town of Vamos. Park at the given coordinates, a spot which is right beside the cache Ancient Paths and continue up the trail following the blue dots past the Church of the Black Madonna. Follow the dots and the path will take you to this cache. You used to be able to continue along a loop track past the cache but unfortunately this path has now been blocked off by the local shepherd.
NB :Please don't be alarmed by the number of gun cartridges on the ground. This is quite normal on walk ways in Greece and does not signify military use.
