Geocache Description:

A paved road inland of the town of Na'alehu.  An amazing view both mauka and makai.  A very low traffic area.  Great for hiking as well as geocaching!

Na`alehu is a sleepy little town at the south end of the Big Island.  It's famous for its bakery which produces the delicious Punalu`u Sweet Bread; you can smell it if they are baking as you head up the road between Ace Hardware and the bakery.  You'll pass a cemetery to your left, but continue on up the hill and along the scenic road.  Expect to take your time; there are a lot of fords and dips in the road to allow for flash floods.  But then, with views like this, why would you want to rush?

The cache is along the roadway.  You do not need to climb any gates or fences in order to find it.  Original contents: Travel Bug No. TB6QXAX, Where's George bill D58133176E, Wood Nickel No. 19 (Kalo).
