The Harriman Public Library really is a true gem. Located in historic downtown Harriman it has been a Carnegie Library since 1909. Just walking in feels like walking back in time. The original oak book cases are still in use. I have been dying to do a library cache for quite some time. I love books. I love geocaching. Combine the two & I am happy. Please be respectful of the library and staff as they have so kindly allowed us to place a cache here. Please observe library rules & hours. GPS may be spotty inside the library so how about finding your way to the Visitor Center section where you can pick up a pamphlet or just browse for an informative book.
Hours of Operation:
9-5 Monday-Thursday
9-1 Friday-Saturday
Closed Sunday

There is also a benchmark on the corner of the building if you are interested in that sort of thing. Walk around left corner and it's on the wall between the two down spouts.
