GGA July 2015: Up and Down in Cloudland Event Cache

Join us at Cloudland Canyon state park for a fun-filled cool day!

Whether you are UP at the rim, enjoying over 30 miles of hiking and biking trails and admiring the views or DOWN at the bottom of on the canyon enjoying the waterfalls from a different angle and getting the state park challenge cache, this is a great park with lots to do! 

AGENDA:

 

1pm:  Brief business meeting, news on upcoming events in Georgia

1:15:   Information on new hiking and multi-use trails in the park.

1:30pm:  Overview of the geology, geography, caves and canyons in this diverse state park and the flora and fauna you might find while here, given by Stephanie-park naturalist. 

2:00 pm:  Watermelon slicing and raffle 

If you are working on the Georgia County Challenge, this event is in DADE county -- Northwest corner of the state!

If you want to complete a 'Busy Day' challenge, there are SEVEN different cache types to be logged on this date!
Plan to spend as much of the weekend here as you can!  There is a LOT to do, and several other geo-events here all weekend!
