Geocache Description:


This is the final Cache of the 6 which can be combined with the caches below in a gentle circular stroll of a little over 2½ miles (4km). See: Cogden Flora 1 (GC5Y8CE) for full details about parking and the route.


The concrete track which runs down from the car-park dates from WW2 may have been built for gravel extraction as was a similar track at Seatown for the building of the runways (1939-41) at RNAS Yeovilton or simply for access to coastal defences. Gravel extraction at nearby East Beach, West Bay continued until 1984. Now the track provides easy access to the Coast Path and the beach. Due to long shore drift the size of stones on the beach vary in size from East (large) to West (small).

To find this cache you need to solve the picture puzzle. The clues to solve this puzzle can be found at the back of the log books in the other six caches in this series. You are looking for a small clip top box which contains log book, pencil and tradable goodies. Warning: Unless you have a photographic memory you will need on/offline access to this cache entry or a copy of the images below to solve the puzzle in the field.
