This series of caches takes you around Nethercroy. It has been created with children (of all ages) in mind, and so there's a fun element to each cache. If you collect the bonus co-ordinates at each cache, you will be able to find the bonus cache too.
It is recommended that you park at the parking co-ordinates provided, and then do the caches in order. The first half of the route is mostly on a good path, but as the second half can be a bit muddier, boots are recommended.
This cache is placed at the ruins of some very old mineworkings. There were several pits in or near Nethercroy until a few decades ago, and places like this remind us of how busy the area would have been. An entrance to the mines is still visible a short walk from the cache, but it's clearly fenced off, so please do not enter for your own safety.
Thanks to Forestry Commission Scotland for allowing these caches to be placed.
