Geocache Description:

A fun tribute to a great guide and restuarent owner

This fun little cache is named after Dominic Baur.   Former guide on the Upper Kenai.   Dom fished my wife and I back in 2003 for RainbowTrout.   We had been fishing the Russian River together for a few years, and I used to fish the Refuge back in the days of 78-83 when it was there are no rules on the river.   Dom is the guide that ruined us,  Perfect day in late september.  35 degrees.  Steady wind upriver all day.  Rain/sleet/snow/rain/sleet.     We launched with 2 others in his boat.   We dont know how 8 hours went by so quick.  Everybody in the boat landed 20+ fish.  Hooked over 30.  Big fish.  Small fish.  Fish fish fish.  Dom now owns the Kingfisher.   He has a nice little menu and Beer on tap and wine by the bottle or glass.  We asked for and recieved permission from Dom to put this Cache there and he even picked the spot.  He knows of and approves of Geocaching.

Dom asks one thing.  DO NOT go climbing down the stairs that are blocked or go up and down the bluff.  He is losing some land to erosion.  So please respect that.  This cache is not near the bluff over the lake so there is no reason to be there.   If your hungery.  Thirsty,  Stop in and say hi.
