Geocache Description:

The Paperbark tree belongs to the genus Melaleuca, in the Myrtle family (Myrtaceae), of which there are more than 200 species. Melaleucas are commonly known as ‘Paperbarks’ when they are tree-like and ‘Honey Myrtles’ when they are shrub-like. The majority of these are endemic to Australia, although several species occur in Indonesia, Malaysia, New Caledonia and New Guinea.

The Chase is a suburban estate in Berwick which is a part of the City of Casey. Like most estates now a days it is a jungle of houses, but has a small oasis of greenery and water. Here you can seat in the Gazebo and just ponder the world around you, watching the ducks on the little ornamental lake.

Or you can join the suburban madness around you and find the cache, sign the log, and race of to the next cache where ever that may be.

It would do us all could to just sit and ponder, take your lunch and rest a while.

There is a playground nearby for the Geo kids to have a play if you like

The cache is a 200ml sistema with a little room for small swaps. Please bring your own writing implement.
