Geocache Description:

Join us in beautiful Stoke Bruerne on the Grand Union Canal and be a GeoBuddy - helping others discover the joy of Geocaching

Stoke Bruerne is a beautiful location on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire with two pubs (one with a childrens play area), a canal museum, indian restaurant, a tea deck and gift shops, as well as a wealth of Geocaches waiting to be found.
Members of the Northampton Branch of the Inland Waterways Association normally meet monthly for a Noggin & Natter at a friendly canalside pub during the summer months and have decided to join with the Canal Partnership to organise an event specifically aimed at introducing more people to Geocaching.

Meet up at 6.30pm onwards on the green next to the Canal Museum (where there are picnic tables). Parking is free in the Canal Museum Car Park after 6pm. Pick up a heritage trail (prizes awarded). There is alternative free parking at The Navigation pub.

If you are an experienced Geocacher and are willing to help others who know nothing about Geocaching and want to learn more, pick up a GeoBuddy badge and let us introduce you to each other.

Afterwards, meet up at the canalside Navigation pub for a sizzling BBQ and a pint, and stay as long as you like in good company.
