Matthew 16:18 says "I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.”
When we realized how much land our church owned we asked our pastor if we could put a geocache or two on the property, and he responded with such enthusiasm that we just could not pass that up. Within this church is a children’s area called “The Rock” and if you look around you will see the theme of rocks everywhere.
The SWAG in this cache is inspired by its name. We roll rocks to polish them. We purchase rough rock and go through the long process of making them shiny. We though what better combo, church (since Peter is the Rock upon which Christ built his Church) and shiny polished rocks. Each rock in the cache is unique. Please help yourself to a rock that speaks to your heart.
There is a waypoint to the parking lot. You are looking for a well cammo’d lock and lock. Please be aware that when the parking lot if full the cache will be difficult to get to without drawing the eyes of muggles (We didn’t make a church wide announcement)
This cache is placed on private property with the permission of the property owner. Please do not break tree line while looking for the cache.
