Geocache Description:

Placed on the beautiful North shore by scouts of Troop 201 based out of Nuuanu Congregational Church.  A rare place where you can walk miles of breath-taking shoreline without seeing a single sole.

Troop 201 has been in existence for over 60 years, in the Nuuanu Area, part of the Kamehameha District. Placed as part of a Geocaching Merit Badge requirement, so please share with them your stories of finding this cache.

Placed during a 6 mile hike from the Kahuku Golf Course to Turtle Bay Hotel. During the first half of the hike, the beach is littered with debris, some we think is from the 2011 tsunami in Japan. Lots of interesting stuff, but tons of just trash.

We were lucky to see a newborn monk seal pup and her mom on the beach as we neared Turtle Bay Hotel. Fences were up and we had to stay very quiet.
