In 2004 is een nieuw fietspad aangelegd tussen Ferwoude en Gaast. Echt ‘nieuw’ is dit pad echter niet, aangezien het al in 1850 beschreven wordt in de boeken van grietenij Wonseradeel. De directe aanleiding voor het aanleggen van het pad was de sluiting van de basisschool in Gaast waarna de kinderen uit Gaast in Ferwoude naar school gingen.
Het water dat de brug kruist is de Djippert, wat naar het Nederlands vertaald het 'Diepe' betekend. De Djippert is ook naamgever voor het dorpshuis in Ferwoude en de straat Djipwei (weg bij de Djippert) van het recent gebouwde plan 'Ferwoude Zuid'.
De bijgevoegde foto toont deze locatie, gezien vanaf de dijk aan de overkant, de molen stond waar nu de brug staat. Zie op de achtergrond de kerktoren van Ferwoude.
Deze cache is een geschikt trackable hotel!
Klim niet over het hekje richting de molen, dit is een beschermd natuurgebied!

In 2004 a new bicycle road was built between Ferwoude and Gaast. The road is not completely new as it was already mentioned in 1850 in books of the local authorities (Wonseradeel)
The bicycle road was built when the Gaast elementary school was closed and the children of Gaast needed to travel to Ferwoude.
The name of the channel under the bridge is called 'Djippert', translated to English the 'Deep' channel. Also the community centre in Ferwoude is named Djippert and the road in the recently built plan 'Ferwoude Zuid' is named Djipwei (road next to the Djippert). These are the houses at the south side at the end of It Nije Binnenpaad in Ferwoude.

Do not climb over the fence in the direction of the windmill! This is a preserved area.
