Sydney Blue Gum High Forest
The Sydney Blue Gum High Forest is one of six main indigenous forest communities of Sydney. It has been classified as critically endangered, under the New South Wales government's Threatened Species Conservation Act of 1995. The principal canopy trees in this forest community are Sydney Blue Gum and Blackbutt which are usually between 20 and 40 metres tall. The Blue Gum High Forest is restricted to the northern parts of Sydney, on soils based on shale with an annual rainfall over 1100 mm (living in the area, I can confirm that it receives lots of rain). Remnants are found as far west as West Pennant Hills and Eastwood, though most of the few remaining areas are in suburbs such as Pymble, Turramurra and Wahroonga. Around one percent of the original forest remains, and the current remnants amount to an area of 336 acres. Due to fragmentation and the surrounding urban area, the forest remnants are constantly under threat from invasive plant species, while bush regeneration programmes have been in place for many years.

Primary Colours
The Primary colours are the sets of colours that can be combined to make the other colours. For an additive combination of colours, as in light, the primary colours are red, green, and blue. For a subtractive combination of colours, as in paint, the primaries are magenta, yellow, and cyan. I prefer the light combo.
