The 3rd Saturday in August each year, is a special day for Geocachers.
It's International Geocaching Day
and this year it falls on the 15th August
And for all us locals who can not attend the big bash put on by Groundspeak in Seattle,
we may as well have a little gathering to celebrate it here anyway.
(Sadly its the last Geocaching Block Party this year too.)
If you log a cache on this day, you usually get a souvenir,
but I reckon we may as well have a little get together anyway.
And it also gives those geocachers who haven't been able to attend an event
for the 15 Year Road Trip Challenge yet,
another opportunity to complete the first challenge.
Potential double whammy souvenir grab for some.
To be held at the River Deck, northern side of Canelands (listed coordinates)
between 11:00am and 12:00 midday
(that way reluctant partners can shop whilst we talk geocaching)
So grab a coffee from over the road, and drop in for a chat,
