RIVER STOUR PADDLE - HENNY LOCK Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

BIGBADJOHN1402: Archiving most of my caches due to the new breed of cacher who obviously does not appreciate the money & work that goes in to being an owner.

If you wish to go seeking a cache essential items are a pen (to sign log) , tissue (to dry a wet container), spare logs (to replace if required).

Geocachings loss is Munzee's gain :-)

Geocache Description:

*** BOAT REQUIRED *** THE 2 RECOMMENDED PLACES TO ENTER WATER ARE OPPOSITE THE PUB IN GREAT HENNY & THE GRANARY IN SUDBURY.

This is one of a series of caches along The River Stour
but to get to the caches you will need to have a flotational device.

They were all set using an inflatable kayak, some of them will be easy to retrieve from a rigid kayak/canoe.... some others may not be!

There is parking and easy kayak portage at Sudbury Granary.& Henny - See Parking & Portage waypoints.

These are seperate caches to the series that run from Brundon Mill to The Croft in Sudbury which has portage and parking both ends and is approx. 1 mile from both waypoints and are not navicable between those and this series.

This cache requires you to reach UP while STANDING in to a tree so a companion to steady your boat will be needed!!!

I have rated this a Difficulty 3.5 as it is a container in plain sight but micro and a Terrain 4.5 as you will need a boat to reach the cache.
This cache is a micro cache please protect from getting wet & please do not drop it!!!

permission has been given by the Ranger for Sudbury Common Lands Trust for the placements that pass through the nature reserve.
