This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road (also known as the Kilkenny Loop Road) in Berlin, NH. The dirt road is is in great shape, but the road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May. Check the WMNF website for road closure.
Note that all the caches are winter friendly and within 20' of the road – easy P&Gs.
Mount Carrigain is my sixth favorite NH 4000' peak. Mount Carrigain is 4,683 ft (1,427 m) above sea level and is named after Phillip Carrigain, NH Secretary of State (1805–10). Mt. Carrigain is on the south side of the Pemigewasset Wilderness, the source of the East Branch of the Pemigewassit River, between Franconia Notch and Crawford Notch. It has an observation tower (former fire tower) at the summit providing 360 degree views of the surrounding wilderness.
The puzzle: 44 28.686 71 18.89A
Mount Carrigain is 1,A27 meters high.
