This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road (also known as the Kilkenny Loop Road) in Berlin, NH. The dirt road is is in great shape, but the road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May. Check the WMNF website for road closure.
Note that all the caches are winter friendly and within 20' of the road – easy P&Gs.
Mount Garfield is my seventh favorite 4000' peak in the White Mountains. Garfield is 4480 ft (1366 m) above sea level and has 360 degree views and an impressive vista of the Franconia Ridge and the Pemigewasset Wilderness from its summit. The Appalachian Trail, a 2,170-mile (3,500-km) National Scenic Trail from Georgia to Maine, runs along the ridge, across the top of Garfield.
The puzzle: 44 28.A13 71 18.693
Garfield is 44A0 feet above sea level.
