Geocache Description:

Two of my main hobbies are Geocaching and coin collecting. As a kid, I saved just about every penny I got and looked through my parents' change for "special" (commemorative) coins. This hobby grew through the years and I thought I would place a cache dedicated to trading coins exclusively.

This cache is a small, camouflaged rubbermaid container. Inside contains a ziploc bag for the logbook, and a separate bag for the trading items. Please only trade coins or related objects; remember to trade up, trade even, or don't trade. Please do not put the pencil in the logbook bag, as it will poke through and the log will be soaked again.

There are two sensible routes to the cache. One is by taking the paved path to a bench, where the trailhead coordinates indicate a dirt trail to follow down; at the bottom of the valley, follow the stream to the cache. You may have to jump over the stream a couple times to avoid deadfall or bushes. The second possible route is to descend the grassy hill directly from the street; aim to be slightly west of the culvert. Watch your step as the crossing may be muddy or hidden in the tall grass.

Starting contents are $8.58 CAD, $0.78 USD, £0.33 GBP and €1.16 EUR. A pencil is also provided. Since then the value of contents has been reduced, logbook replaced twice, and cache moved in June 2020 to combat muggles. There was an older style (2002) $5 bill for the FTF: Congratulations Truvader!!!

Please respect the area by not breaking any branches. This cache is not recommended in the winter, after rainfall, or in the dark. Bring the family along to enjoy the bounty and the adventure through this unique part of the city. Have fun!
