The Alan Parsons Project var en britisk progressiv rock- og popgruppe grunnlagt av Alan Parsons og Eric Woolfson. Mellom 1975 og 1987 ga de ut 10 studioalbum, i tillegg til flere samlealbum og spesialablum. Flere av albumene deres omtales som såkalte konseptablum. Resten av bandets besetning var ikke fast, og de brukte mange forskjellige gjestevokalister.
Deres største hit i Norge var singelen Eye In The Sky fra albumet med samme navn. Albumet nådde tredjeplass på VG-lista. Instrumentalen Where's The Walrus? var vignettmusikk til Lørdagssporten på NRK TV på 1980-tallet. En annen instrumental, Sirius, brukes i en rekke sportssettinger, bl.a. under Manchester Citys hjemmekamper når laget entrer banen.
Eric Woolfson trakk seg fra prosjektet mot slutten av 1980-tallet for å satse på musical-/teatermusikk. Parsons fortsatte å gi ut plater etter dette, men disse har blitt lansert under navnet Alan Parsons.

The Alan Parsons Project was a British progressiv rock and pop group, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson. Between 1975 and 1987 they released 10 studio albums, in addition to several collections and special albums. Several of their albums are often referred to as concept albums. The rest of the crew was not fixed, and they applied many different guest vocalists.
In the late 1980s, Eric Woolfson withdrew from the project, in order to focus on musical and theatre music. Parsons has continued to release albums after this, but these have been launched under the label Alan Parsons.
