Venue: Save-a-pet, Greenbushes
Date: 18 July 2015 (International Mandela Day)
Time: 11:00-12:30
The aim of the event is to do some good on International Mandela Day. This means giving back to the community.
Nelson Mandela International Day was launched in recognition of Nelson Mandela’s birthday on 18 July, 2009 via unanimous decision of the UN General Assembly.
Mandela Day is a global call to action for citizens of the world to take up the challenge and follow in the formidable footsteps of Madiba, a man who transformed his life, served his country and freed his people. Its objective is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better and in so doing, to build a global movement for good.
We will be washing, walking and playing with the dogs and cats at Save-a-pet. We will be helping with general work in and around the premises. And it goes without saying that we will be doing it alongside other geocachers, catching up with each other.
Wear old clothes and shoes and prepare to get dirty. It's going to be loads of fun. Let's stand together and support them the geocaching way!!
You will be able to earn your Geocaching road trip '15 souvenir while attending the event.
