Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road (also known as the Kilkenny Loop Road) in Berlin, NH. The dirt road is is in great shape, but the road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May. Check the WMNF website for road closure.

Note that all the caches are winter friendly and within 20' of the road – easy P&Gs.

Carter Dome is my 13th favorite NH 4000'er and the ninth highest in NH. Carter Dome is 4,832 ft (1,473 m) above sea level and is part of the Carter-Moriah Range which runs along the northeastern side of Pinkham Notch. The summit once had a fire tower and is still open with views towards the Presidential range. The origins of Carter Dome's name is unknown. Local folklore suggests that it was named after a hunter named Carter, while a neighboring peak is named after his hunting partner, Hight.

The puzzle: 44 30.764  71 17.A56

Carter Dome is 1,A73m above sea level.
