This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road (also known as the Kilkenny Loop Road) in Berlin, NH. The dirt road is is in great shape, but the road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May. Check the WMNF website for road closure.
Note that all the caches are winter friendly and within 20' of the road – easy P&Gs.
Mt. Isolation is my 15th favorite NH 4000' peak. Isolation is 4,003 ft (1,220 m) above sea level, barely qualifying it for inclusion into the 4,000' er list. In addition to being just over 4000', it also barely makes the prominence requirement of 200' by having a prominence of 203'. As the name implies, it is one of the remotest peaks on the list, located south of Mt. Washington on the Montalban Ridge, but it has great views of the Mt. Washington plateau and the southern Presidentials.
The puzzle: 44 31.A70 71 17.157
Isolation barely passes the prominence reqirement by having a prominence of 20A'.
