If You Place It They Will Come Event Cache

"If you build it they will come"….no other iconic quote makes you think baseball quicker than this one….and nothing makes a cacher move faster than a new cache placement notification.  You don't have to be a baseball enthusiast to love what we have in store for you this year.   Pregame will begin with GPS loading at 11am at the small pavilion just inside the park entrance (this is a change from previous years so please take note) so be sure to bring your cord!   When you have completed the road course we will meet back at the small pavillion at 6:30 for potluck dinner and prizes (donations are always welcome for the prize table!).  We will end our big day with the release of a new night cache.  We are very excited to have secured our venue again which is being offered in cooperation with Sanilac County Evergreen Park which in addition to great caching offers a fantastic newly expanded campground, fishing and kayaking on the Cass River and hiking.  Like last year we will be getting together on Friday night for campfires and caching stories for all who will be camping. 
For the potluck this year we are requesting you bring your favorite tailgating dish to pass and just ask that when you post your will attend you include your dish so that we don't end up with 20 sets of chips and salsa. 
We will supply hot dogs/buns/condiments, please bring your beverage of choice.  We will have a small refrigerator on site for some of the items that will need to be in a cool environment for the day but space will be limited so if you are bringing one of these items please bring a cooler if possible to help out.  Tell all your caching friends and come to the thumb for a weekend of great fun.  Can't wait to see you all!  Hotels available in Bad Axe and Cass City and you can contact the park website to make camping reservations.  Stay tuned for updates!!!
