This cache commemorates the sixth and final book, published in 2009, in the series; Chronicles of Ancient Darkness by Michelle Paver. The book takes place 6000 years ago during the New Stone Age, and tells the story of Torak, Renn and Wolf.

The final book won Britain’s most prestigious children’s writing prize, the ‘Guardian Children’s Fiction Prize’. The cache is a 20cm long PVC pipe with camouflage. I have tried to place the cache in the same habitat as the book was written but alas, Mackay does not have a massive mountain with caves threading through it. However I have placed it at the bottom of a somewhat large hill in a small cave like my third cache, Soul Eater. Close enough…
