Geocache Description:

The mountains are calling and we must go is a just one of our stops on the way. Enjoy the little things in life wherever you are coming from or going to. 

This is a geocache that is close to my family and my heart.  We have been camping in the sequoias for over 20 years and growing up in SoCal bakersfield was just one of our stops on our way up to the mountains.  When I was little we would stay over at the local hotel "LaQuinta Inn" and would always go to breakfast in the morning at "Ihop".  We continue to go up to Sequoia at least once a year with family and we always stop in bakersfield.  This place has a lot of memories and now we are lucky enough to share this special location with fellow travelers.  Take some time to enjoy your journey wherever it may be leading you.  This one is for my family and the memories behind my childhood and growing up.
