ITALIANO

Monumento iniziato nel 1848 e finito due anni dopo, voluto dall’imperatore Ferdinando. L’opera funebre d’ispirazione neoclassica . Un triangolo di 15 lastre di marmo ancorate alla roccia. Su un altare si trova un leone morente trafitto da una punta di lancia. Questo monumento simboleggia la potenza dell’Impero Asburgico colpito a morte dalla guerra del 1809. Il leone appoggia la testa su uno scudo con lo stemma dell’Austria e un fascio littorio. Quest’ultimo simboleggi al’unione e la forza dei popoli che componevano l’impero. La scritta in tedesco ricorda:

IN MEMORIA DELLA MORTE DA EROE DELL’IMPERIAL REGIO CAPITANO DEL GENIO FRIEDRICH HENSEL  IL 17 MAGGIO 1809 E DEI COMPAGNI DI BATTAGLIA CADUTI CON LUI

Spomenik so začeli graditi leta 1848 na željo cesarja Ferdinanda I. in končali dve leti kasneje. Spomenik je zgrajen v nagrobnem neoklasičnem stilu. Spominsko obeležje je sestavljeno iz 15 trikotnih marmornatih plošč, ki so pritrjene na skalo. Na oltarju umira lev prebodeno s sulico. Spomenik simbolizira ranjeno moč habsburškega cesarstva v vojni leta 1809. Lev počiva z glavo na ščiut z grbom Avstrije in fascija. Slednji simbolizira povezanost in moč ljudi oz. narodov, ki so sestavljali imperij. Napis v nemščini se glasi:

V SPOMIN NA JUNAŠKO SMRT JUNAKA CESARSKO KRALJEVEGA INŽENIRSKEGA STOTNIKA FRIDERICHA HENSLA IN NJEGOVIH SOBORCEV, KI SO PADLI 17 MAJA 1809.

Der bau des Monument begann im Jahre 1848 und endete zwei Jahre später, wollte von Kaiser Ferdinand. Die Arbeit Beerdigung neoklassischen inspiriert. Ein Dreieck aus 15 Marmorplatten an den Felsen verankert. Auf einem Altar ist eine sterbende Löwe von einem Speer durchbohrt. Dieses Denkmal symbolisiert die Macht des Habsburgerreiches durch den Krieg von 1809 erschossen. Der Löwe legt ihren Kopf auf einem Schild mit dem Wappen von Österreich und Rutenbündel. Letzteres symbolisiert al'unione und Kraft des Volkes, die das Imperium gemacht. Die Inschrift auf Deutsch erinnert sich:

Monument works started in 1848 and ended two years later, wanted by Emperor Ferdinand. The work is inpired by funeral neoclassical style. Monumnet is made of a triangle of 15 marble slabs anchored to the rock. On an altar is a dying lion pierced by a spear. This monument symbolizes the power of the Habsburg Empire shot dead by the war of 1809. The lion rests her head on a shield with the coat of arms of Austria and fasces. The latter symbolizes union and strength of the people that made up the empire. The inscription in German remembers:

IN MEMORY OF GLORIOUS DEATH OF ROYAL IMPERIAL ENGENNIRE CAPTAIN FRIEDRICH HENSEL AND FALLEN COMRADES IN BATTLE ON MAY 17, 1809
