Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road in Berlin, NH. This good dirt road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May.  Check the WMNF website for road closure. If you want updates on the road you could check with the USFS Androscoggin Ranger District office at 603.466.2713

At this state park in Hart’s location you can see the site of a historic landslide in 1826 that killed nine people but spared the famous Willey House. The heavy rains and flooding created a landslide. The Willey family and their hired help ran from their house into a stone outbuilding that they thought would be safe. The outbuilding was destroyed but ironically their house remained untouched.
