Ok, so maybe we do need a good reason every once in a while. Well here is your chance to come spend an afternoon in the newly reopened Lynches Woods with some fellow geocachers.
So I know you are asking yourself just what is a Trackable Discovery Party?
Well I was just killing time on line checking out all things caching and stumbled upon a page called "Trackable Discovery Party".
Of course I was instantly intrigued by this interesting concept and continued to read in order to find out just what they were talking about.
I soon had my answer simply because the page owner just knew the question would be asked by many. The answer was as follows.
"What is a Trackable Discovery Party you ask?
It's simple!
Go out and find trackables in caches and bring them home for a short period of time. Invite your Geocacher friends to discover these trackables and bring some for you to discover as well. This can be a true Geocaching Event Cache or in the privacy of your own home. You can even trade trackables if someone else can fulfill a goal.

So now that we all know what in the world we are talking about. This event is open to all cachers & muggles alike, young, old, and new & yes of coarse even the well seasoned.
We will get together to talk geocaching and trade the crazy stories of our caching adventures. Of course the main reason for this event is to bring trackables to trade with others that may be able to get them closer to their goals, you are also encouraged to bring your vast collections of trackables that you keep hidden away so as not to lose them. So that others may discover.
Please keep in mind that the trackables that we pick up must be put back out in other caches soon so they can continue on their individual journeys.
As a footnote I have been asked if bringing drinks or snacks would be a good idea. My response is very simply that there is no requirement to bring anything in order to attend, but if you would like to bring some kind of drinks or snack items. Just include in your will attend that you would like to bring something and what you are bringing so that we don't end up with multiple people bringing the same thing.
This event will be located at the picnic shelter in the parking area for Lynches Woods Park.
The official times for the event will be from 1PM until 2PM. Of course you may stay longer (as we often do) but the actual event end time will be 2pm.
