Geocache Description:


This cache is part of the NH State Geoart Series. The coordinates are fake; you must solve the puzzle below to obtain the final coordinates. The caches are placed along the 14.8 mile, dirt Bog Dam Road (also known as the Kilkenny Loop Road) in Berlin, NH. The dirt road is is in great shape, but the road is gated from the end of November to the beginning of May. Check the WMNF website for road closure. Note that all the caches are winter friendly and within 20' of the road – easy P&Gs.

Dorchester is the 14th smallest town in NH and is located in the south central portion of Grafton County. Originally granted by Governor Benning Wentworth in 1761, Dorchester was named for Dorchester in Dorset, England. When the recipients failed to take up the grant, it was regranted in 1766, but also without success. Finally, it was regranted by Governor John Wentworth to 72 people on May 1, 1772, and settlement began soon thereafter. The population was 355 at the 2010 census and the density was 7.9 sq. mi.
