Kodiak is a fishing town and where better to watch the boats come and go than from the Harbor? A nearby site of special interest in history and the fishing industry is the Star of Kodiak, a liberty ship built orginally as the SS Albert M. Boe and served as a cargo and crew transport during WWII, eventually it was retired and repurposed as a canery ship and renamed the Star of Kodiak.
