The National Road used to have many scenic places to pull off so families could enjoy a picnic lunch as they were traveling. Most of those are long gone or have a geocache hidden there. Not this one!
Don't know if this was one of the historic rest areas or not, but it is a nice place to take a break, it is welcoming to truckers (the sign says so), has an educational sign about the road history and some beautiful Daylilies to enjoy in the summer.
It's been a while since we placed a cache, but in celebration of our Nation's birthday and the start of our 12th year caching, we crossed the state line to become multi-state cache owners. The cache name has many meanings as you will discover when you visit the site. Enjoy!
