Geocache Description:

This cache is hidden by a geoJoey close to a Scout Hall so is kid friendly and is large enough for a few swapsies.

Haines Road is on the border of Murray Farm, Carlingford, North Rocks and West Pennant Hills suburbs and is one of the entrances to the beautiful Bidjigal Reserve. A typical bush land reserve which has been partially disturbed by the M2 motorway, there are lots of rocks for scrambling over and if you look carefully you may see some Aboriginal carvings. The ground cover has now grown back providing lots of hiding places for small animals and birds. And geocaches of course. There are two paths to this cache, which are from when the M2 work was done. The first path is 1.5 terrain for half and then terrain 2.5 (bush bashing) for the second half. The second path is terrain 1.5 most of the way with only a few metres of bush bashing. We all pick our own paths in this life...
Did you know that NSW has a geocaching association? Geocaching NSW aims to enhance and improve the activity of geocaching and holds regular events where geocachers meet to enjoy their common interests. Visit the association website here.
