Geocache Description:

The cache is located close to the watermill along a public footpath.  It is a small camouflaged clip top box containing a log and pencil, we have also added a few swaps to get started!

Snettisham Watermill was built in 1800 by the local community.  Originally the mill consisted of a small structure built from local carrstone and in 1877 once the machinery was improved, a twin section was added to become the granary and waggon store.  The mill carried on producing flour until 1940 and was then used for the production of animal feed until 1960. In 2008 permission was granted to convert the granary section into holiday accommodation. Congratulations to geostokes for being the 'FTF'!
