Park on either side of the road, but be careful if crossing to the south side. The roads here are not busy, but it pays to LISTEN as well as look both ways before crossing.
Windeyer began as a farming district consisting of a few large properties. Gold was first discovered in the area late in 1851. Both alluvial and, to a lesser extent, reef mining were successfully carried out and the returns proved considerable. Parking on both sides possible. Watch the geokiddies if crossing the road on this bend.
