Geocache Description:


Kwa Zulu Natal’s own Table Mountain is known to all travelling on the N3 between Pietermaritzburg and Durban. As you reach upper Ashburton, Table Mountain dominates the Eastern vista. Table Mountain is known to local tribesman as “Mkhambathini” - “the Place of Acacia Thorn”. It is a 960m high flat topped wedge shaped prominence towering over the uMsundusi River and Nagle dam. The uMsundusi River is a tributary to the larger Umgeni River and joins it just below Nagel Dam. This cache is not on the N3, neither is it accessible from the N3. Please park at the waypoint provided.
