We've waited until very close to the Mega to publish our plans in the hope that we'll be forgiven for breaching etiquette - anyone who was thinking about going south will have made their plans by now - and so this is just a local event for any cachers left up here! :-)
The co-ordinates take you to the Council run Inverbervie Camp Site. It has some static caravans but also an area for tourers - 16 pitches with electric hook up - right next to the beach - so we can have campfires on the beach in the evenings! :-)
We'll be camping all weekend (Friday afternoon- Sunday morning) but if you don't want to camp you are more than welcome to drop in at any time over the weekend, there will hopefully be someone about.
The official event will take place on Saturday 1st August between 7 and 10pm
The chip shop is near by so we'll do a chippie run on Friday night (it closes at 7pm so the order will go in at 6pm for a 6.50pm pick up).
The Aboyne Highland Games are on Saturday if anyone fancies a day out - or there are plenty of caches nearby - and PYO fruit and many other things to do.
