Geocache Description:

Sandy Point is a suburb in the Sutherland Shire, off Heathcote Road on the banks of the Georges River.

It is 28 kilometers south of Sydney CBD.  Sandy Point estate was created in 1925 and only has 3 streets, the population in 2006 was 540 people.

This is believed to be the first  geocache to be placed in Sandy Point, this will need to be included when attempting the Sutherland Shire Cachers’ Challenge GC4YC2C.

The cache has been placed outside the Sandy Point Reserve, parking in available in the Community Hall grounds. Please bring a pen and replace the cache container as found, thank you. The cache is approx 2 meters from the National Park fence line.
