Geocache Description:

This fourth of July my family enjoyed the festivities in the historic Silver City. From a massive horseshoe touranment to kids gunny sack races, there was fun for all. This time we decided to place a cache in honor of our nations birthday( as well as my wifes). We found the cache on the east side of the city a few months ago and have been plotting this one from the deck of the cabin.

This cache is only accessible May through October depending on weather. A family car can make the road, but there are some spots to be careful with. You will have to hike to get to the cache. You may also take atvs to get there. Remember to bring lots of water.

This is a large cache. Please try to follow the road as far as you can. There are MANY old mine shafts that are mostly fenced but not all. Follow the road to where you see a squared in fence. That is a good place to go offroad. There is a faint trail that will lead you to the area. Don't go into any of the mine shafts and watch out for the little ones for wandering. This is a beautiful place, that has wonderful views of the city and beyond.

Don't forget to check out the rest of the city, have some pie at the hotel, and grab a shirt at Pat's place. Enjoy this little piece of heaven.
