Geocache Description:

DO NOT CLAIM THIS CACHE - LEAVE ME ALONE!!

There are many 'DO NOT FIND THIS CACHE' exist all over the world. The first one hidden was in Wisconsin (GC7086) in July 2002.  I have placed this cache in Bucks because there is an awful curse spreading throughout Beds, Herts and Bucks caching community - it is called GEOCACHING ADDICTION

Lets identify whether you are indeed a geocaching addict:

  • You understand and use the terms "TFTC" "FTF" "MTT" "ICT" "TNLN"
  • You have a premium account and own the last GSAK version
  • Your relatives and colleagues forbid you talking about geocaching
  • You have to explain to your relatives why your kitchen is full of plastic boxes
  • You refer to your possessions with the pronoun 'geo....you have  a geo'dog', geo'bag', geo'car' etc
  • Your garden slabs are marked with the shapes of the boxes you painted in black or brown
  • You can't plan your holidays without doing a search for how many caches are in the area
  • You re used to ROT13 and you can decrypt the hints without help
  • You ask for climbing equipment and a canoe for your birthday
  • You can't do the shopping without imagining everything as a cache container
  • You always have your 'geo bag' handy in case of newly published caches
  • You actually look forward to visiting the in-laws
  • You have a 'winter list'
  • You no longer think of the area in terms of streets and addresses but rather cache locations
  • You start giving out co-ordinates instead of map directions to a particular location
  • Your wedding invitation features a Difficulty/ Terrain rating
  • You try to beat the smokeypugs to a FTF
  • You use geocaching as a way to relax
  • You make yourself trackable by clothing & cars
  • You even go as far as to tattoo yourself as a trackable
  • Everywhere you go you are scounting possible cache locations
  • You get really excited when you discover a new park
  • You check the geocaching.com web site more than once a day
  • You name your youngest child 'micro'

Does this description fit you?  Yes?  Then you are most definitely addicted to caching. This cache will help you ..but how?

                        DO NOT LOG IT!!

The trial to know if you can resist geocaching is:  ARE YOU STRONG ENOUGH NOT TO LOOK FOR THIS CACHE?

There is nothing special about this cache:

  • No glory, no special cache just a simple nano
  • No landscape, nothing to look at
  • No trackable - you will only find a logbook, not even a pencil!
  • I will not be congratulating the FTF at 6am, who drove 60 miles for it, who lied to his/her family, hiding the fact that he/ she had to feed their addiction, worse even if you dragged your whole family out to find this silly little nano

Do you look at the map that shows the closest caches to your home, are you happy that you have logged them all? Well this cache will not match like all the others. It will be the only green cache amongst a sea of yellow smilies.  You will only see this one, like a fly on your screen, winking at you, staring at you calling to you "fiiiiind meeeeee"  It's like an obsession. But you only have one thing to do..RESIST IT!

Its one of the easiest caches to get, you can just park and grab it, you don't need to swim in a nettle sea, to climb through thorns, or to cry in front of a wall covered in IVY, if you look for it, you can't DNF it!  But don't try to find it. The only thing you get is a +1 in your caches total, thre is NO reason to find it, but.... it's there, it exists....it is taunting you!

If you cannot resist it..then you should log a 500 word essay explaining to me how long you resisted for and why you felt the need to log it when specifically told not to. I would like you to demonstrate a full understanding of the breadth and depth of your addiction.(obviously an optional logging requirement)

Good luck NOT to find it!
