This is one of several great parks located in Roxbury Township to geocache. You can definitely get a great hike in while looking for this, and the other caches hidden in the park. There are four trails to enjoy here - Red, Green, Yellow, and Blue, with the Red trail being dedicated in 2015. This cache is located on the Green Trail, which is located in the southwest section of the park. The Green Trail is just over one (1) mile long, and half-way through your journey, a picnic table, and vista of the Succasunna Valley awaits you.
This cache was placed with the permission of the Roxbury Township Department of Recreation. This cache was also placed in the spirit of the N.J. Dept. of Environmental Protection's geocaching policy. This means the geocache can be found within 5-10 feet of the trail, and that no bushwacking is required to find this cache!
Let's have some fun with this quick multicache. The posted coordinates will take you to a spot along the Green Trail. Stage 1 WAS an ammo can just off the trail. Now it's a micro/small specimen tube with the coordinates for Stage 2! Stage 2 is just down the trail. Please return both Stages to their original hiding condition.
This cache is children friendly so all can enjoy the game! The park is only open during daylight hours, so no night-time caching is allowed. Please remember to replace the cache container in the exact same manner in which it was found. Hunting is allowed in the park! Please wear your safety orange during hunting season! Hint: Recommend finding this cache first on the green trail.
